I Run fusion 6 and never had that happen so I think it's unlikely the cause. There might be many reasons for it but starting with some disk verify/repair steps might be good:

- Select 'Recovery HD'
- Select 'Disk Utility'
- In the left pane at the top, select 'Macintosh HD' and make sure that the 'First Aid' button is selected at the top of the right pane
- Click the 'Verify Disk' button - if there are ANY errors at all, when the verify has finished, click the 'Repair Disk' button
- Click the 'Verify Permissions' button - if there are ANY errors at all, when the verify has finished, click the 'Repair Permissions' button.
